The Blue Nile Jam Session is Brooklyn's newest monthly open mic and live music jam session that happens ever FIRST THURSDAY! Last month we celebrated our 6 month anniversary and we are excited to keep growing and creating with all of you! The Blue Nile BK will be back again on August 3rd!
The Blue Nile Jam Session is dedicated to providing a nurturing space for all artists from all backgrounds, genres, and identities to come and express themselves. We are rooted in the beautiful Crown Heights Community and are hosted by the venue Stratosphere Studios (A BLACK OWNED BUSINESS WHAT WHAAAAAT!).
VOCALISTS sign up (in person) for a 4 minute open mic slot at 7:15pm! MUSICIANS can sit in with the band as the night progresses, especially during the open jam session portion! DANCERS we will clear space on the hardwood floors for you! VISUAL ARTISTS there is wall space (hit us with a message in advance to work out details).
We have an amazing space, an amazing house band, an amazing DJ, amazing feature artists, and amazing hosts however... we are nothing without YOU!

We have two amazing features this month! They have been a huge support to us since our first month.
1. SUPANOVA
Nova is a Brooklyn born and raised MC. Apart of the New York City Powerhouse New Rap Order! He is all about putting truth to music; Brooklyn Style. Currently preparing to release his album titled Str8OuttaBklyn!!! He is also the co-founder of @str8outtabklyn (IG), a community organization whose purpose is preserving and cultivating original Brooklyn Culture through the arts, politics, and local business alliances.
2. T.R.E
T.R.E. has been a huge supporter of the Blue Nile BK since day one. He has been to almost every jam session and always brings the heat on the mic. He has been a rapper in the NYC and New Jersey hip-hop seen for a while!
