Bilingual Birdies is a foreign language and live music program for preschool children up to 2nd grade. Each week over 2,000 children learn basic vocabulary through song, movement, and puppetry from outstanding bilingual musicians who've been trained in the Bilingual Birdies approach. The program began in 2007 in NYC and has expanded nationally to San Francisco and internationally in France and Kenya. Bilingual Birdies' goal is to embrace diversity and create a community of bilingual educators who are working to empower children through language and music. This workshop is geared towards early educators and will train participants on how to implement the universal language of music in the classroom to create a space where all diverse cultures are celebrated so that children will be more excited about learning!
