Anne Fennell has taught music education, K-12, for 31 years and currently teaches 4 levels of Music Composition and 3 levels of Steel Drum Ensemble, grades 9-12 in Vista, CA, in addition to her consulting and workshops that she provides both nationally and internationally. She is a published author through Pearson Education, the GRAMMY Foundation, and Disney, and also chairs the NAfME Innovations Council. Anne is also a member of the NAfME General Music Council and the Vice President of the California Music Educators Association. Anne has received numerous local, state, and national awards, including the 2017 National Teacher of the Year for Magnet Schools of America, top 10 GRAMMY Music Educator Finalist for 2016, and top 3 Music Educator award from Music and Arts 2015. Anne holds a Bachelors in Music Education, Orff Schulwerk Certification, and a Masters in Leadership Studies.
